Town Crier Week of November 2nd

Sunday- The Down Cellar Poets' Workshop Will take place today at 1:00 pm at the library.  This is a contemporary poetry study and writing workshop for any adult poets.  Facilitated by Jimmy Pappas.   Call 798-3410 for more information.

Mon.  The Mahjong group meets in the Community Room at the library from 2:30 to 4:30 pm.  Needs a group of 4 for a game.

Mon.  Nov 4th - Color & Coffee will take place at 6:00 pm at the library.  Experience a relaxing time when you can visit with folks or enjoy newspapers, magazines & coloring & a beverage(supplies provided) 

Tues.  Preschool Story & Craft Hour takes place at the library at 10:45 am-  Held every Tues. except during school vacations for children of preschool through kindergarten age.

Tues.  The Chichester Selectmen will meet at 6:30 pm at the Grange Hall.

Tues.  The Chichester Historical Society meets from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Historical Society museum.  Come help prepare for an upcoming event.  On Mon. Nov 11, (Veterans Day) The Historical Society will host a program at 7:00 pm- called "Ruptured Ducks (WWII Veterans)"  Mark Stevens will present a program featuring recollections and stories from WWII vets.  Mark promises to reveal what a "ruptured duck" is, tell some of the fascinating stories, and show plenty of interesting photos.

Wed. The Knitting Circle will meet at 3:00 pm at the library.  Open to all-come join the fun & knit or crochet -for beginners & "experts."

Thurs.  "Toddler Time" takes place at the library at 10:45 am-open to all for fun activities &s stories.

Thurs. The Chichester Planning Board meets the first Thursday of every month at the Fire Station at 6:30 pm.  Check the town website "chichesternh.org.  -select Departments & Boards- Planning Board for the agenda:  Proposed Draft of Bylaws & Rules & Procedure; Proposed Draft for Site Plan Review & Proposed Draft for Subdivision Regulations.  Call 798-5350 for questions.

Sat. Nov 9th The Chichester Town Library is pleased to announce the selection of Carolee Davison for the "Special Library Service Contribution Award" from the NH Library Trustees Assoc.  This award is presented to an individual or group who has given outstanding service to NH Public libraries.

Carolee's accomplishments will be recognized at an open reception at the library, 161 Main St from 10:00 am  to 12:00.  The formal presentation by the state will be at 10:00 am.  Refreshments will follow and everyone is invited.

The Chichester Food Pantry, in conjunction with the Capital Region Food Pantry, will be sponsoring Holiday Food Baskets in December.  Nearly 2,000 lbs of food was distributed to Chichester residents during the Christmas season last year.
