Old Home Day Meeting Minutes

Meeting Minutes Old Home Day Committee Jan 30th, 2020

Attendance: Malinda Weir, Fred Potter, Stefanie Berkeley, Brian Eldridge, Kristy Barnouski, Brad Harris

All in attendance wished to become members of the committee. All members voted with some discussion to appointment Brian Eldridge and Malinda Weir as Co-chairs for the OHD 2020

Items discussed

Date will be August 14th and 15th

Lower turnout- Weather, and lack of signage seemed to be the common consensus

Stefanie Burkely willing to help with signage

Inflatables did not work out well. Will not be repeated this year.

Vendors will not be advertised for this year. However, all local groups are welcome to set up a tent. 

Activities:

Horseshoe tournament (Run by Malinda and Brian)

Slip and Slide (Malinda to contact Nic Wood) 

Touch a Truck (Run by Fred Potter)

5K (Run by Stefani Berekley)

Scavenger Hunt(Malinda to contact Pillsbury’s)

Talent Show (Kristy to contact Sophia Raymond)

Beans (Brian to contact Mardens)

Pick up Basketball game/kickball etc (Kristy to contact David and Chris Baines)

Pig Roast-roaster will be rented. (Malinda to contact Jason Weir)

Movie Night (Run by Malinda)

Hot Air Balloon(Malinda to contact)

Balloon Lady(Malinda to contact)

Food trucks(Kristy to contact)

CYA/Fire Department selling food?

Dunk Tank(Malinda to contact Katie Bennett)

Misc:

OHD will buy pig, unless donation can be obtained

Fred Potter to work on tables and chairs

Kristy to work on obtaining tent

Discussion about fireworks. 

Discussion about parade

Explorers to help with parking possibly? (Kristy to contact)

Brian will be in charge of garbage

Tammy to be contacted about cookies

In an effort to get more volunteers, maybe offer 2 hours shifts with assigned tasks? 

Parking to be in the softball field? Parks and Rec to be contacted

Kristy to print donation letters

Next meeting to be March 26th at 6:00 pm at the Grange
