Town Crier Week of October 6, 2019

Sun 10/6-  The Down Cellar Poets Workshop will take place at 1:00 pm today.  A contemporary poetry study and writing workshop for any adult poets.  Facilitated by Jimmy Pappas.  Call 798-3410 for more information.

Mon. Oct. 7th- Mahjong will be played at the library in the Community room from 2:30 to 4:30pm-  new players are welcome!

Mon. -Note the new time & day for Color & Coffee at the library.  It will be the first Monday of every ,month at 6:00 pm.  Stop in & see whats new-enjoy visiting  and check out the newspaper, magazines, & puzzle for your enjoyment.

Tues.  The Chichester Historical Society meets weekly from 9:00 to 12:00-  looking for new volunteers to help keep up the museum and work on new programs.  The museum is located at 49 Main St., Chichester.  If you would like more information, contact Bernd Reinhardt, President 798-7074.

Wed-Lead article--All are welcome to attend a program called " From Mickey to Magoo!  The Golden Age of American Animation!"  It is sponsored by the library @ NH Humanities and will be at the Grange at 7:00 pm  Presented by Margo Burns-Call the library if you need more details - Free parking and light refreshments to follow.

Wed-The Chichester Methodist Church will host a Free Community Supper at the Parish Hall, Main St., at 6:00 pm.  This week, baked chicken tops the menu.  There is plenty of free parking across the street,  Open to everyone.

Wed.  The Parks & recreation Commission will meet at 6:30 pm at the Town Hall.  

Thurs.  The Conservation Commission will met at 7:00 pm at the Town Hall.

Fri.  Come to the library at 3:30 pm & meet Rafer, the Therapy Dog!  Great for kids & adults!  He is easy to read to & he is he giving away Halloween Prizes!  

The Library & Town Offices will be Closed on Mon. Oct. 14th for Columbus Day.

The Town is looking for volunteers for several boards & committees:  If you are interested, stop in or call  the Town Offices for info on:  The Planning Board; Road Advisory Committee; Budget Committee; The Cemetery Trustee; The Historical Society & Heritage Commission.
