Sun. 6/2/19 Down Cellar Poets' Workshop for adult writers will meet at 1:00pm at the library. This is a contemporary poetry study and writing workshop for any adult poets. Facilitated by Jimmy Pappas. For information, call 798-3410
Mon. June 3- The B.C.E.P. Waste Facility will have NEW hours, starting Tues, June 4, 2019. Hours of operation will be: Tues. thru Fri. 7:30 am to 4:00 pm- The scales will close at 3:45pm. Sat. hours will be 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. Scales close at 1:45 pm. (lead article)
Mon June 3rd- everyone is invited to the library at 7:00 pm for a presentation by Fish & Game on Black Bears! There have been several sightings in Chichester and you might want to hear how to deal with them. There will be a slide show and furs will be on display.
Tues. June 4th - Board of Selectmen Meeting at 6:30pm in the Grange Hall
Wed. June 5th - The Knitting Circle will meet at the library at 3:30pm Join in the fun group to knit or crochet-open to all.
Wed. The Chichester School Board will meet at 6:00 pm. There are openings for a Kindergarten and 6th Grade teacher. Also, the Student Council is organizing a gift for Mr. Beaverstock (outgoing CCS principal.) The school would like to join forces with the community to purchase a "buddy bench" with his name on it for the playground. If you would like to participate, please send in a donation to the attention of Mrs. Mara by June 7th.
Fri. There is Color & Coffee at the library at 3:00 pm
The Library is proud to announce they will be receiving the "Children's Literary Foundation Rural Library Grant." for $2,000 worth of new children's books! Just in time to go along with the children's area renovation! Also, $250 for kids program to improve literacy. The CCS school will also receive $500 worth of new books for their library. Each child will receive 2 new books to take home-in the fall, an author will come to the school to present the books-
Sun June 9th- The Chichester Youth Association will hold their monthly meeting at 6:30 pm at the Fire Station. All are welcome to come & hear about the new playground area & equipment & if you have any questions about summer sports programs, they can be asked & answered! You can e-mail: ChichesterYouthAssociation@gmail.com with questions. Help is needed to run the Snack Shack at the playground.
Mon. June 10th-there is a basket making class at the library-registration required-stop in or call 798-5613
Also on June 10h- Grateful Sleds , Rte 28, will be having their annual Moe Ride!
