Public Notice- Declaration of Candidacy

PUBLIC NOTICE

TOWN OF CHICHESTER

The undersigned Clerk of Chichester hereby gives notice of the time limit of Declaration of Candidacy for the Town of Chichester for election of officers. Filing period begins January 19, 2022 and ends January 28, 2022. The election will occur during the annual Town Meeting called to convene March 8, 2022, at 10:00am at Chichester Central School.

Positions to be filled at this election are:

                 Selectman                                    1 for 3 years

                 Trustee of the Trust Funds          1 for 3 years

                 Supervisor of the Checklist         1 for 6 years

                 Library Trustee                            1 for 3 years

                 Cemetery Trustee                        1 for 3 years

 Written Declaration of Candidacy must be filed with the Town Clerk prior to 5:00pm on January 28, 2022, in order for the name of the candidate to appear on the official ballot. Forms may be obtained from the Town Clerk at the Chichester Town Hall. Town Clerk office hours - Monday 8:30am to 4:00pm, Tuesday 8:30am to 2:00pm and 4:00pm to 7:00pm, Wednesday and Thursday 8:30am to 2:00pm. Special hours on Friday, January 28, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
