Declaration of Candidacy 2023

PUBLIC NOTICE

TOWN OF CHICHESTER

The undersigned Clerk of Chichester hereby gives notice of the time limit of  Declaration of Candidacy for the Town of Chichester for election of officers. Filing period begins January 25, 2023 and ends February 3, 2023. The election will occur during the annual Town Meeting called to convene March 14, 2023, at 10:00am at the Chichester Town Hall.

Positions to be filled at this election are:

                  Selectman                                   1 for 3 years

                  Treasurer                                    1 for 3 years

                  Trustee of the Trust Funds         1 for 3 years

                  Moderator                                   1 for 2 years

                  Town Clerk                                 1 for 3 years

                  Tax Collector                              1 for 3 years                                         

                  Cemetery Trustee                       1 for 3 years

                  Trustee of the Library                 1 for 3 years

Written Declarations of Candidacy must be filed with the Town Clerk prior to 5:00pm on February 3, 2023, in order for the name of the candidate to appear on the official ballot. Forms may be obtained from the Town Clerk during regular business hours and special hours for February 3, 2023, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
