"Those Who Served"
Members and friends will speak about the history and significance of two of Chichester's buildings, the Grange/Town Hall, built in 1889, and the General Blake/Hutchinson property built in the early 1800's. This is a joint program with the Heritage Commission.

If you missed last year's presentation, here's a chance to hear selections from the society's archives of letters and diaries. Featured will be readings from the Langmaid, Leavitt, and Ayer diaries as well as passages from interesting Chichester letters and documents.
Tim Patterson, historian, will present a program on Civil War soldiers who served from our area. Over 50 men enlisted from Chichester. Tim is well known for his interesting and informative presentations. If you are a Civil War buff, this program is for you.

This is the Chichester Historical Society's first cemetery walk for history buffs held at Leavitt Cemetery on Canterbury Rd. Members from the society will be in period costumes to interpret the lives of the distinguished deceased. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Refreshments will be served following the cemetery walk at the Chichester Historical Society's Museum at 49 Main St.
Did you grow up eating baked beans on Saturday night? Many of us did. Bean hole beans, Johnny cakes, chocolate chip cookies, and pork pies all originally came from New England. This presentation by Edie Clark is informative and humorous.
