JANUARY 25, 2016
Present: Lucille Noel, Bernie Reinhart, Donna Chagnon, Nate Bronnenberg, Dawn Marshall, Carolee Davison, Richard Debold, Ann Davis and Zachary Boyajian.
The minutes of the December 28,2015 meeting were accepted.
Update from Heidi on Parking Lot Plan:
Richard has had e-mail contact with Heidi Marshall from CLD Engineering. She stated that they are trying to find a suitable base map to use that is to scale. The first estimate for engineering without survey was around $10,000 so she is trying to see what they can do to keep costs lower. We hope to have a full proposal from Heidi by the end of February.
Crosswalk and Side Walks:
Good News! DOT says they can accommodate our sidewalk. We do not know exactly what this means, but Richard will contact Heidi about the crosswalk and a visual work-up.
Selectmen's Meeting Presentation:
We are on the February 16, 2016, 6:30, Selectmen's Meeting schedule. We plan to have a visual work up for this meeting. We will present the following:
How we got to this point
What the Phases are
Where we are at this point.
Please try to attend.
The Team plans on having a display and handouts at Town Meeting. We want to show people that the Charrette Team is continuing with the Plan of improving the Town Center. We hope to have a Concept Sketch to present. We will need Team members to help with this display and questions that will be asked. No monetary requests will happen in 2016.
The Charrette Plan will be included into the Town's Master Plan. The Planning Board has already discussed including it into the Master Plan. Ann Davis advised that the work on the Master Plan has started. We will need to submit a CIP Proposal in AprilfMay to the CIP Committee.
Changes to the Parking Lot:
Bernie mentioned that the removal of the trees and scrubs on the right side of the parking lot has not yet been done. He did meet Dale St. Laurent, who owns the property on the west side of the parking lot. He advised Mr. St. Laurent of what the Charrette Team is planning to do around the parking lot. Mr. St Laurent has no problem with the proposal. We still have not been able to find the southwest boundary marker in the wetland area.
We discussed the building of a gazebo. We have had people who said they would volunteer to help. Bernie mentioned that Goosebay Lumber may also help in some capacity.
