Minutes of Meeting

Chair Teresa Paradis called meeting to order at 7:27pm

Present:  Teresa Paradis, Steve MacCleery, Kay Snow, John Snow, Ann Davis
Not present:  Jeff Jordan

June 17, 29015 Minutes were not available for approval.

Discussion followed regarding Loudon’s brochure and printing of the Chichester Agricultural Commission flyer-brochure.  Ann will obtain prices for 100, 500 & 1,000.

Finances were discussed in relation to printing, membership dues to Farm Bureau and speakers, and whether or not to spend the money because it is there to spend.  This way, not one person has to donate the money each year for membership.  It was brought up that the AgCom has to promote farming and the money is there to use for that purpose.  Members will bring ideas to October meeting as to how the AgCom can promote agriculture.

The members were asked if AgCom would support a farmers market in Chichester.  The concern was that RSAs may prohibit that endeavor.   Ann will research and provide copies regarding what the AgCom may do within the RSA guidelines.  The AgCom will convene in October and decide whether or not to proceed.

It was decided that all information regarding brochure costs, fundraising projects, speakers and membership dues will be determined at the October meeting and voted on at that time.

Chair read to the members a July letter of resignation from Ann Davis as she has been appointed to the Planning Board; two members cannot be on the same land use committees.  Ann offered to attend meetings and volunteer as a member of the general public; she will also continue as secretary.  Since AgCom is in need of new members, Ann will approach the Selectmen about recruiting new members.

There being no further business Steve MacCleery made a Motion to adjourn; John Snow seconded; all in favor.  Meeting adjourned 7:42pm.

Respectfully submitted,

Ann Davis, Secretary
