Business Meeting called to order at 7:15pm

1.  After handouts distributed and reviewed, John Snow made a Motion to approval of 02/17/2016 Meeting Minutes; seconded by Catherine Snow; all in favor; passed.

2.  Ag in the Classroom & AgDays 2016 were discussed.  It was decided that Ann will contact Principal Beaverstock to suggest May 4 or 6 for Ag in the Classroom reading of How Do Apples Grow? to be presented by John Snow to 3rd graders and May 18 or 20 for AgDays at which 4th Jeff Jordan will demonstrate how to shear a sheep and a goat and Deb & Randy Harris to do a honey bee presentation to 4th graders in the Outdoor Classroom.

3.  Discussion followed regarding fundraising projects and speakers/programs.  As part of backyard farming lecture series, on April 20th Speaker Professor John Carroll will again visit us; this time he will focus on his most recent book Live Free and Farm: Food and Independence in the Granite State.

The theme is local food and farming, including value-added food processing and, as well, food preparation, all in the context of the energy (oil), climate change, and economic pressures driving our people, our towns and cities, today. All will be tied into current events as they are unfolding in late April.
Carroll will bring copies of Pasture of Plenty and Live Free and Farm for sale; he will also be available for book signing.  As an added bonus - Professor Carroll has also made a special offer on his new book Live Free and Farm: Food and Independence in the Granite State which sells for $12; he will donate 50% ($6/per book sold) to the Chichester Garden Club & AgCom for the work that we do.  This was unexpected and certainly appreciated!
John Snow made a Motion for the AgCom to purchase a copy of the two books and donate them to the Town Library; Teresa Paradis seconded; all in favor; Motion passed.
There being no other business, John Snow made a Motion to adjourn; Catherine Snow seconded; all in favor; meeting adjourned 7:37pm.

APPROVED 07/20/2016 by Motion made by John Snow; Seconded by Catherine Snow; Accepted.
